The Restoration of ME

 ZooTycoon

The cubs and I were playing the computer game, Zoo Tycoon, last night. We had a great time but a glaring difference between each of our objectives became clear after awhile...

My 9 year old daughter was concerned with putting the zoo exhibits together, maintaining it, and generally watching the animals and plants grow...

My 11 year old son, while enjoying putting the zoo together was oh so eager to create chaos when the zoo started to fail. Basically, he would let all of the animals out of their cages and let them eat people, destroy property, and create general mayhem. It was so awful, I couldn't even watch but he was laughing his ass off.

And I, well I was in it for the money...

Funny how we can all be in the same game but all have different reasons for being there, different goals and objectives, different perspectives...kinda like life, huh

 Rosie is Gone?

I got up this morning and read a really sad message from Rosie...she was saying good bye. I clicked onto her blog and it's deactivated .

I've seen some of you talk about missing different bloggers who have left the stream and not fully understood what you were going through...today I do .

With tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat...I pray that everything is OK and wish you Godspeed, mate. Miss you already.

 I See Bloggers Everywhere

Funny, ever since I started blogging I've kinda been obsessed with it . In a good way, but it's because I've made so many good friends, learned so much, and am having a total ball!!!

Recently, I noticed that as I met people I was starting to size them up as a blogger or non-blogger . I think the vibe I was picking up was friendly and open versus grumpy and grumpier. Anyway, here are just a few of the people who I think would be bloggers...

My mechanic... ...is a wonderful man. He's good at what he does, he's honest, and he's a people person. Every time I go in we end up having a great conversation . It takes the pain out of auto repair!!! And he makes me laugh. He says that people call him up and describe the problem over the phone then ask if he thinks it will be OK . He's like, "I don't know...I can't sense your cars condition over the telephone, bring the damm thing in here."

The next potential blogger would be my hairdresser. Again, she's good at what she does, she is so very kind and open, and we have great conversations... . And I already have a blog title for her..."You want me to do what, I'm not a magician you know?" Or how about "Hair today, gone tomorrow."

The store clerk is definitely a blogger My God, the stories she tells me

Anyway, bloggers are everywhere...and life is good (even if it's only 1 degree) Have a good day everyone!!!

Rosie, did you say it was warm where you are? I'm coming to visit!!!

 Friday Fun Facts!!!

Here we go...

1. I love the Dave Matthews Band...if I could invite any musician into my home to chat with it would be Dave and the boys. Their songs have been the soundtrack to my life ever since I first heard them. Whatever I seem to be feeling there is always a song from this talented group that conveys what I'm going through and speaks to my heart.

2. I used to be a gym bunny and then I had kids!!!

3. I have buyers regret from the 80s...there was this dress and it was really pretty...I can still see it in my mind...to this day I regret not buying it.

4. I still have a Ferrari watch that a boyfriend gave me when he when on vacation in England.

5. I had lots of pets as a child but I can only remember the names of three of them...Sunny and Rufus were my dogs...Midnight was my cat. Midnight was so cool, he was all black, and soooo cool.
