The Restoration of ME

Out with the Old...In with the New

I've changed since I first came here to Blogstream and now it's time for my Blog to reflect that fact hence the name change. When I first started blogging on New Years Eve I was at the beginning of my crisis...literally I'd finally realized that I'd totally crashed my life and was sitting on my butt on the floor wondering WHAT in God's name I was going to do next. Didn't have a clue what my next step was going to be and I was very afraid.

I also used that smiley guy above alot in my posts...this one too. and him... and lots and lots of her... Pardon my french but it sucked being me!!!

But from the beginning I had a plan about how to get me life back and I'm now starting to see parts of it come into fruition...little by little. And here's where I need to slip in an apology to all of you for not being a good blogger...as you all know with ALL that's going on I've not had anytime to get back to anyone, a thought that weighs on my mind...sorry again for that and thank you all for hanging with me despite that fact.

But the name change thing, I'd always planned on changing it...was kinda waiting for something BIG to happen but it just hit me...

PROGRESS IN LIFE IS NOT MEASURED IN FEET BUT IN INCHES (at least mine isn't)

...so if I'm to do this right, that is see my plan realized (career back in place, home of my own, and financial security) I need to set it up so my small accomplishments fuel the larger engine for the overall mission. In other words, I need to let the small things get me just as excited and motivate me just as much as the big things...that way the big things will happen faster...make sense .

Someone once called me driven...don't know about that I just don't want to lay down and die and I know that if I don't get it back I might as well do so cause to me a life like that just wouldn't be worth living . Sorry if that sounds morbid but that's the way I honestly feel about it.

So what am I celebrating? Well, the plan itself...time for me to pat myself on the back for even having one...EVERYONE, I mean everyone has pointed out the significance of this fact to me and I finally get it ...told ya I was a late bloomer...LOL

Saw my therapist this week and she kept talking about how it was all going to be OK cause I had a PLAN!!! Who'd of thought how important something like that was

Anyway, therapy is going well, I had another session this week. It's good...it's a place where I can take the "I've got it all together" mask off, reveal and discuss my fears, and cry. Cause a lot of this still hurts...not so close to the skin anymore but the pain is there nevertheless.

She was great in helping me to see that even though my decision to leave Steve was devastating it was for the best because it allowed me to fulfill the most important role that I'd ever play and that's the one of mom. And while I knew this myself it was nice to have it pointed out...my cubs mean so much to me, so much...I love them so.

While we were talking about my pending bankruptcy she said something that was profound. The question on the table was whether to go with the cheap attorney and have me babysit him or pay a significant amount more and get top shelf representation. Because there's a bit of a twist to my situation I was concerned about the quality of counsel. Then my therapist said listen you don't want to fool around with this go with the more expensive counsel...the money will come. OMG...I forgot to have faith, yes, that's right the money will come. If I continue doing all that I'm doing it will happen...love that woman!!! She also said that she was seeing more and more signs of life in me...that was nice to hear also.

Sooooo...that's it...long but I haven't written anything about me for a while. Hope you all will stick around for the next installment of ME... Love you guys so much...with all of my heart I want to thank you for being there .

 Youth

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions, it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from God, so long are you young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

And Now For Somrthing Totally Different

I know this is a bit odd, nothing like what I put on my Blog but I figured that I'd give y'all some insight into what I do on Saturday nights that is the cubs and I settle in and watch cartoons. Our favorites type of cartoon is anime...they got me hooked on this stuff a long time ago. Dragon Ball Z will always been my favorite...LOL...I think I've got a crush on Goko.

Anyway, here's one of our new favorites, Naruto. As you'll see from the plot summary it's pretty deep stuff which is why I like it so much. That in addition to the actual animation itself and neat music makes it a great show...if you like this type of stuff.

Gotta warn you this goes on and on. Hope you like it...

First, what is anime?

Anime (pronounced AH-nee-may) is a term for a style of Japanese comic book and video cartoon animation in which the main characters have large doe-like eyes. Anime is the prevalent style in Japanese comic books or manga. In Japan, the comic book is a popular form of entertainment for adults as well as for younger audiences. Story lines are often very sophisticated and complex and extend into episodic series. Typical anime themes or genres include Ninja and other martial arts; the supernatural or horror story; the romance; and science fiction including robots and space ships. Foils for the main characters, including robots, monsters, or just plain bad people, often lack the doe-eyed quality.

And without further ado, here's...

This anime follows the life of a young, aspiring ninja, Naruto, who lives in the hidden village of the Leaf. His ultimate goal is to ascend the ranks of the ninja and become the village’s most powerful ninja or Hokage. Naruto contains in him the nine tailed fox, an evil demon that plagued the village. It was defeated and sealed within Naruto. For that reason, Naruto has been shunned his whole life and always was alone. However, he also has the potential for enormous power because of this monster locked inside of him.

Naruto gets teamed up with his crush, Sakura, and his rival, Sasuke. At the ninja academy, Sasuke always scored number one because he is a part of the legendary Uchiha clan that has a special bloodline or power of Sharingan, which allows them to see enemy movements and copy them. Naruto, on the other hand, scores the lowest, but through hard work and dedication manages to get his tasks done. Sakura is secretly in love with Sasuke, which makes Naruto compete with him even more.

A parallel storyline lies in Sasuke. While Naruto trains because of his desire to be the best ninja, Sasuke is driven by the sole purpose of revenge. Sasuke’s parents along with the rest of his clan were killed by his older brother Itachi, whom Sasuke now seeks to kill. Thus, Sasuke trains day in and day out in an effort to one day match the strength of his older brother. This team of three is led by Kakashi, a jounin ninja, with very powerful combat skills. Kakashi takes Sasuke under his wing and teaches him the power of the Chidori, a special fighting technique that allows one to harness electricity into a sphere and use it to crush an opponent.

This team of four gets assigned a variety of missions from the current Hokage. When they’re not doing these missions, the three younger ninjas are constantly training in order to move up the ranks to chounin. During one of the chounin exams, the evil villain of the anime, Orochimaru, attacks the village with his minions. In the process, he gives Sasuke a cursed seal that prevents him from unlocking any power. When he does use his power, the seal spreads around his body and forces him to seek Orochimaru for even more power.

Orochimaru ends up killing the current Hokage, so one of the legendary Sanin, three great ninjas, is summoned to take on the role. Tsunade is a healer and a perfect fit for Hokeage as the village is now in ruins. Naruto and another Sanin, Jiraiya, are sent to find her and bring her back. Along the way, Jiraiya decides to take Naruto under his wing because he sees the enormous amount of potential in him and the similarities between himself and Naruto. He teaches him many chakra control techniques along with Rasengan, which is much like chidori but using air and wind instead of electricity.

While they are trying to convince Tsunade to come back to the village, Orochimaru appears again and there is a battle. Orochimaru manages to escape but not before he is seriously injured. Orochimaru is very unique in that he has mastered a forbidden ninja technique that allows him to be immortal. All he needs is a new container or body every few years, so he searches for the most powerful ninja across the world in order to take over their bodies and acquire their skills in the process. His next target is Sasuke and he sends his minions to go get him.

Meanwhile, back in the village of the Leaf, Tsunade is busy planning and rebuilding the city, sending ninjas off on many missions to make money for the city. While Naruto was off on his mission with Jiraiya, Sasuke was recovering from his injures. This only caused his jealousy towards Naruto and desire for power and revenge to grow. It becomes to take over his life and when Orochimaru’s henchmen come, Sasuke is easily lured away. Sakura is devastated and begs him not to go, but Sasuke cannot be stopped and runs away. Tsunade sends a team of five ninjas after him: Shikamaru, Chouji, Neji, Kiba, and Naruto. Along the way they do battle one by one with Orochimaru’s henchman, defeating them with the help of ninjas from the hidden village of the Sand who show up unexpectedly at the request of Tsunade. However, the final battle lies between Naruto and Sasuke.

Sasuke, in order to achieve his most powerful Sharingan level, needs to kill his best friend who he considers to be Naruto. Naruto promised Sakura that he would bring Sasuke back to the village at all costs. Both are very strong in their beliefs and not willing to let the other win. The battle results in Naruto releasing the power of the nine tailed fox and Sasuke releasing the power of the cursed seal. Both reach power levels they have never seen before. In the end, the power of the chidori and Sasuke’s turning to the dark side were too strong for Naruto, and Naruto was defeated but not killed. While Naruto and Sasuke were fighting, Kakashi sensei has been desperately trying to catch up and find them but gets there too late to stop the battle. He manages to bring Naruto back to the village and saves his life, but Sasuke also manages to reach the Orochimaru stronghold. Naruto is resting and healing from his battle wounds when Sakura decides to go off after Sasuke herself. Not willing to let her do this, Naruto decides to go with her. Jiraiya, bent on seeing the boy achieve his potential, decides to go with them both and mentor Naruto on the way. The anime leaves off here with Sasuke bent on revenge and blinded by power, and Naruto on his way to stopping him.

My Wish for You and I...

I wish you the courage to be warm when the world
Would prefer that you be cool.
I wish you success sufficient to your needs;
I wish you failure to temper that success.
I wish you joy in all your days; I wish you sadness
So that you may better measure that joy.
I wish you gladness to overbalance grief.
I wish you humor and a twinkle in the eye.
I wish you glory and the strength to bear its burdens.
I wish you sunshine on your path and storms to season
Your journey.
I wish you peace in the world in which you live and in the
Smallest corner of the heart where truth is kept.
I wish you faith to help define your living and your life.
More I cannot wish you, except perhaps love, to make
All the rest worthwhile.

Hey y'all...I never get tired of this one by Robert Ward...if I were to leave the Stream today these would be my last words to everyone. No, I'm not going anywhere, at least I don't think so. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

 Who am I?

I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest asset or heaviest burden.
I will push you up to success or down to disappointment.
I am at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me,
For I can do them quickly, correctly, and profitably.
I am easily managed, just be firm with me,
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a Machine and the intelligence of a person.
You can run me for profit, or you can run me for ruin.
Show me how you want it done. Educate me. Train me.
Lead me. Reward me.
And I will then...do it automatically.
I am your servant.
Who am I?

...think about it before you comment...the answer is in the comment section...have fun everyone...
